BIOGRAPHY
 

Laurence Manning is a renowned Quebec pianist, composer, and arranger who completed a Doctorate in Piano Performance from l’Université de Montréal. Her original works are influenced by neo-classical, Celtic, neo-medieval, video game and film music. She is also specialized in video game music, as an arranger, and more recently, as a composer.

Her new album Piano Collections: Castlevania was released on October Friday 13th 2023. This album includes 15 original piano arrangements of the gothic video game series Castlevania and was produced by the label Materia Collective.

Since 2019, Laurence also recorded 3 other albums of video game music and compositions:

  • Game Music Piano Album (2019) features original arrangements of video game music for piano from Zelda, Final Fantasy, Mario and more.

  • Piano Mirror (2020) is her first composition album. This album was selected for the web and TV series "Écoute mon album", produced by ADISQ in partnership with the Government of Quebec.

  • Trio of the Goddesses (2022) is a trio album dedicated to the music of the video game The Legend of Zelda. This album was recorded by Laurence Manning (piano), Daphnée Sincennes Richard (violin) and Lou Dunand-Vincent (cello).
     

Besides her activities as music producer and composer, Laurence regularly performs across Quebec, in solo and with her trio, who did two tours in 2021-2022 in major concert halls in Montreal, Laval, Quebec and Gatineau.

Game Music piano album (2019)

This album is dedicated to video game music, featuring 17 original piano arrangements of Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, Kirby, Castlevania and many others. Game Music Piano Album was recorded at Piccolo Studios in Montreal, with the exception of the last two pieces which were recorded at the Salle Claude-Champagne at the Université de Montréal.
